Our story
From a single office to the top brokerage in North Florida
In 2008, broker Marcus Caldwell opened a 600-square-foot office on Monroe Street with two agents and a conviction that Tallahassee's real estate market was poised for growth. The Great Recession had pushed many firms to the sidelines, but Marcus saw an opportunity to serve first-time buyers who needed honest guidance at a time when trust in the industry was at an all-time low.
Within three years, Tallahassee Prime Realty had closed over 200 transactions and earned a reputation for transparency, neighborhood knowledge, and relentless client advocacy. By 2015, the firm had grown to 18 agents and expanded into commercial properties, land, and luxury estates. Today, the team comprises 34 licensed professionals serving Leon, Wakulla, Jefferson, and Gadsden counties.
The brokerage has consistently ranked among the top five in Tallahassee for annual sales volume, closing more than $127 million in residential and commercial transactions in 2025 alone. That track record reflects a culture built on preparation, market intelligence, and genuine care for the people we serve.

Founder & Broker
Licensed since 2003, Marcus has closed over $340 million in career volume. He holds the CRS and GRI designations and serves on the Tallahassee Board of Realtors legislative committee.
Dr. Anita Rivera
Managing Broker
Anita manages day-to-day operations across both offices. A former urban planner with a PhD from FSU, she brings analytical depth to pricing strategies and market timing.
David Okonkwo
Director of Sales
David leads the residential sales team and specializes in luxury properties above $750K. He was named Tallahassee's Top Producer in 2023 and 2024 by the Board of Realtors.
Jamie Thornton
Marketing & Technology
Jamie oversees the firm's digital presence, virtual tour production, and data analytics platform. Previously led marketing at two national PropTech companies before returning to Tallahassee.

2008 — Founded on Monroe Street

2012 — 500th transaction closed
The team grows to eight agents and earns its first "Best of Tallahassee" award. Expansion into Southwood and Killearn market areas begins in earnest.
2016 — Commercial division launched
